Biography 

• Photography has been my choice for artistic expression most of my life.  I am deeply involved in photography in many ways.  I have exhibited it widely.  Some of the places where it has been exhibited are the following:

 I have won many prizes in the above exhibitions.  My photographs have appeared in The Hartford Courant newspaper, The Sun Sentinel newspaper, and Connecticut Magazine.  I was a principle contributor to two editions, five years apart, of the book, "Hartford, New England's Rising Star." (sixty photographs, altogether) A book by Joseph Meehan about capturing motion and time in photography, published in November, 2009, includes three of my photographs.  Several banks and businesses, in Windsor, Connecticut, where I reside, have my photographs on permanent display.    Also the medical school of the University of Connecticut, in Farmington, Connecticut, has my photographs on permanent display in several locations.  Five of my tobacco scene photographs are in the permanent collection of the William Benton Museum of Art of the University of Connecticut, at Storrs, Connecticut.  I have had many acceptances in the highly juried annual exhibition of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, and I was awarded the photography prize in 2008.  I presently serve as the president of this hundred-year-old organization.  For the past ten years I have spent winters in Florida where I volunteer as the events photographer for the Palm Beach Photographic Centre. In 2009 I won second prize in its annual In-Focus exhibition for members of the Centre.  The town of Windsor makes extensive use of my photography in its publications.  Thirty-five of my seasonal photographs have been used, three each year, for the covers of its publication, "There's A Lot To Do In Windsor."  A hotel at the airport in Windsor Locks, CT is presently redecorating half of its rooms, utilizing three of my photographs in each room.  In May of 2010 the very active Windsor Historical Society will sponsor an exhibition of my Windsor landscape photographs entitled, "Windsor --- A Photographer's Vision."  During February, 2010, my landscape images were in an exhibition, along with the paintings of Paul Batch, at the Gallery, in Blue Back Square, of the West Hartford Art League. The exhibition was entitled, "Two Views."  In the fall of 2010 fifteen of my barn and images will be included in an exhibition at the Flinn Gallery in Greenwich, Connecticut.
